Frequently Asked Questions

What Is A Home Inspection?

InterNACHI Residential Property Inspector Certification

First and foremost, a Home Inspection is not a Building Code Inspection; it is not a pass or fail exam.

A Home Inspection is a non-invasive, visual inspection that provides information on the overall, general condition of the home at a specific point in time.  Think of it as a snapshot of the home's health and safety.

At 1st Insight Home Inspections LLC, our definition is literally in our name.  As a prospective home buyer, we provide your 1ST INSIGHT into the home, enabling you to make an informed decision.

What Does My Inspection Cover?

This is a great question and a topic that is important to be familiar with as you navigate the homebuying process, although you can have a maintenance inspection performed at any time!

Your inspection will be performed in accordance with the InterNACHI Standards of Practice that ensures that no stone is left unturned, and we will explain the overall, general condition of the home and its systems to you after your inspection is complete.

In addition, we will compile an easy to read, comprehensive report, delivered online in PDF format, documenting all of our findings, including images, references and further details.
